From pilot to production on the Microsoft Cloud
Copilot Studio, Foundry, and Entra can host the agent. SHIFT to SCALE is how that agent becomes a workflow your operators run.

Pilots succeed in isolation. Production needs data boundaries, an evaluation record, and operators who know what to do when the model is wrong.
On the Microsoft Cloud, the platform path is now explicit. Copilot Studio expects a development, test, and production environment, with gated approval before promotion. Its zoned governance model keeps personal experiments away from agents that carry a service level. Entra Agent ID gives the production agent a sponsor and a blueprint. Agent 365 gives administrators a registry across Copilot Studio and Foundry, so the estate is visible in one place.
Three gates before the program grows
Those controls are necessary. They do not choose the workflow. SHIFT to SCALE holds three gates before scope expands.
- A named decision each output supports, inside a Workflo someone owns
- Retrieval grounded in sources your compliance team already approved, including a Foundry IQ knowledge base when that is the right store
- Runbooks for drift, escalation, and human review, with PROVA holding the evidence
Forward Deployed Engineers map each gate to a working slice inside your tenant. You prove value on one Workflo before the program grows.
